This third edition Chaos Dwarf Blocker is actually quite finely painted and ready to play, with grassed base and all. Although painted with different style that I do, as there are hardly no shading visible and it looks as it has just been through washing machine. Just got to get a couple of more of these.
Our first BB game 2009 is on the go! Some rules just need to be read first.
Fingers point.
Audience.
Gladiator Ogre is being liquified (among other creatures) and his brothers are waiting for their turn.
The Gladiator Ogre with the original painting.
Stripped the paint and made a base. I used the clay stuff on the 40mx40m base to make it look more like a Blood Bowl pitch. Not ready yet.
Close-up of the base.
Basecoated ogre. Again, some original paint traces to be seen. The photo shows it more visibly than looked with just bare eyes.
This guy is named “Chaos Player 2.” He's standing on a genuine metal base. When I bought him, he was missing the thing on the bottom, which fits the slot in the base. And he still is. But I fixed it. Continued on the next pic.
The metal base.
I drilled holes to the bottom of the feet and then put some metal wire there. Next step is to use some glue and putty to fix it solidly to the base. I'm quite handy!
Here is our guy with the base attached, bathing in the bright end-of-April sun. The stuff there is called Green Putty. Rather foul smelling and quite dangerous substance if it gets in the eyes or something. Even skin contact should be avoided. But it got the thing done. Figure is quite firmly attached to the base.
Back view of the same feller. Now just some paint on top.
